Sunday, May 1st from 7 - 10pm a Non-Profit comic night will take place at the Lakedell Hall. Proceeds from this night will be donated to PLACE and the Little Warriors (a national charitable organization that focuses on the education and prevention of child sexual abuse.) With half of the proceeds going to each.
The night will be headlined by Dave Stawnichy with many acts including Ken Hicks, Bill Gee, Dar Germin, and our our local comic Angela Betts, to follow.
Tickets are $15 in Advance or $25 at the door. Tickets are available at Backstreet Antiques, Village ATB, Village Pizza, and of course from PLACE members. For further inquires or to purchase tickets from PLACE please email placesociety@live.ca

The Ice is Out

The ice at the Falun Skating rink is out for the season.
Thank You for your support of our first year of operation!
You may have noticed that the East side of the rink is a little horizontal, on April 11th a large gust of wind knocked the East side over. Our maintenance crew is working quickly to fix this, but the recent weather has halted their efforts, rest assured that it will be fixed well in time for next season!
